Chelsea Blackburn Cohen is a PhD student in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research centers on the effects of globalization on higher education. As part of this work, she has focused on the development of global networks, hubs, and international branch campuses with an area focus on the United Arab Emirates; the changing nature of universities and their missions in an international knowledge economy; and most recently, higher education’s role in addressing and responding to conflict and crisis from a comparative international and historical perspective. Blackburn Cohen earned her MS in Global Higher Education from UW-Madison and her BA in Creative Writing from Carroll University.

So Hee Hyun is a PhD student in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research interests are students’ learning experiences and academic programs in the higher, postsecondary, and continuing education, especially she has focused on studying underrepresented students in American higher education such as immigrants. She also has various research experience in K-16 education, including the development of teaching instruction and students’ learning in high school and college, graduate education, and educational policy analysis. So Hee Hyun holds a master’s degree in Educational Administration and Policy Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Korean and Education, both from Yonsei University in South Korea. shyun6@wisc.edu

Chen Wang is a PhD student in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis Department in University of Wisconsin-Madison. She earned her Master of Science Degree in Higher Post-Secondary and Continuing Education from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2013 and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from Nanjing Normal University in China in 2011. Ms. Wang is interested in internationalization of higher education in China, especially with attentions to the issues on building World-Class Universities, and China-Foreign cooperation on schools and universities.
