The Department of Educational Psychology is co-sponsoring a lecture by visiting scholar Robert Crosnoe, a professor of sociology at the University of Texas at Austin. Crosnoe will speak on key life course trajectories that are central to the transition from adolescence into adulthood. There have been radical changes in recent decades with the shifting economic conditions, institutional structures, and cultural norms.
Crosnoe will present published and new evidence from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health, the NICHD Study of Early Child Care and Youth Development, and other data sources on the interplay of educational, relationships, and drinking trajectories from adolescence into adulthood.
