Delta Program workshop on Sept. 27 to examine, ‘Universal Design for Learning’

September 11, 2019

The School of Education’s Brett Nachman is co-leading a campus workshop on Friday, Sept. 27 titled, “Universal Design for Learning: What, Why and How.”

Nachman is a doctoral student with the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis. He will be co-facilitating the event with Devin Wixon, an associate director of UW–Madison’s Delta Program, which is offering the event.

This particular interactive workshop, which runs from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Union South, will give participants insight into how prepared they are to teach diverse students of varying skills, goals, and abilities. Participants will learn about the Universal Design for Learning framework and ideas for how to apply it to their teaching contexts and students.

For complete details, including how to sign up, visit this Delta Program web page.

The Delta Program engages graduate students and post-docs in professional development in teaching, mentoring, outreach, and advising. It is supported by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Office of the Provost and Graduate School. Additional support is provided by multiple UW–Madison units including the Colleges of Letters and Science, Agricultural and Life Sciences, Engineering, and the School of Education.
