UW-Madison's Richard Halverson will be delivering a talk to the Madison Civics Club on Saturday, March 4.
Halverson's talk is titled: "Reinventing Schools of Education: A Social Capital Strategy for Building the Capacity to Transform Public Education."
Halverson is a professor with the School of Education’s Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis and is co-director of the Wisconsin Collaborative Education Research Network (the Network).
His work aims to bring the research methods and practices of the learning sciences to the world of educational leadership and interactive media. He holds affiliate appointments in the departments of Educational Psychology and Curriculum and Instruction, and is a fellow at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery.
